Each saw comes with a throat insert plate to tighten the gap around the blade, but only the Grizzly, Harvey, and Shop Fox saws also include a wide-opening insert for use with a dado set. We like the SawStop plates (shown below) best because they have a lever lock and the 3 ⁄ 16 "-wide blade slot works, essentially, as a zero-clearance plate..
