I had a Williamson Model = OWB-4-T-S3 Series 3 boiler installed last week in by house in RI. I have 5 zones plus an indirect hot water heater (20 yr old Amtrol BoilerMate.) I have been poking at the Boiler Manual and Boiler Brochure and other info at the links below and I have several questions.. There might be a few simple reasons why your Williamson boiler has problems. We may not be felt as reliable as your age-old reliance ona plumber, butour experience in finding Williamson boiler problems will definitely help you. Read the article with patience from top to bottom to get into the root of your boiler problems, and solutions.
About 5 years ago, a Williamson-Thermoflo GWA 105 boiler was installed for this 1940s vintage 1000 square foot house with hot water baseboard. The house is poorly insulated. Prior to conversion to gas, the old oil boiler was able to heat the house.. Then it's a Honeywell problem Williamson boilers are made by Weil McLain and they are fine.. First thing I'd like you to do is turn the breaker off to the boiler, wait 5 minutes then turn it back on. Stand by the boiler and record the sequence of operation. This will be the best way to initially diagnose.Keep in mind while watching. Does the boiler light, is the circulator pump running, do you have water pressure on the gauges. Etc
