Download Western Digital WD SES Driver 12.07 for Windows 64-bit. OS support: Windows Vista / 7 64-bit. Category: Storage Devices. Hi , I am Ivan, I will help you with this. Initially, connect the device to the computer, go to the Start Menu > Settings > Windows update > check for updates > After completing the check, go to Advanced options > Optional updates and see if the WD SES device appears.
All you need to do is find the file and rename/remove it from the file system. The drives work fine and the file is the one causing the message to be presented. Find the file wdcsam64.sys in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder and rename to wdcsam64_old.sys. Reboot and no issues while drives still work fine.. Hi @Keerti_01 you mentioned that WD is in the process of validating compatibility for Western Digital solutions with Windows.. That was mentioned 3 months ago. Is there any progress? I'm still seeing the "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" in regards to "WD SES Device USB Device" for both of my Easystore 18 TB drives running on Windows 11.
