The easiest way to re-wire yourself is to draw a wiring diagram with battery, switches, loads and just give yourself lots of time to complete the job without cutting corners. Once you get started you'll realize it's fun and easy.. The boat is a 2005 Carolina Skiff DLX 16 with a 2005 50 Yamaha 2 Stroke. I fish and sandbar. Trolling motor.. Finally bit the bullet and started rewiring the bay boat. It's a Sea Chaser (aka Carolina Skiff). Admittedly not a tier 1 boat, but the wiring was a rat's nest. Not doing anything like an xShark quality job, but I'm learning a great deal about the boat along the way.
Carolina Skiff/Sea Chaser THIRD PARTY, On-Line, retail parts stores and other source have proven unreliable.especially Carolina Skiff/Sea Chase dealerships in my area.including the one I bought it from originally!!!!. Replacing Light bulbs, wiring or ANY electrical component to Manufacturer specs!!!. If there is ANYONE who knows where.. Gotcha, that is interesting. I would head over to www.carolinaskiffowner.com and pose the question there, TONS of DIY and project info on our somewhat unique sleds over there. I've seen a few threads there with info about wiring just as you're looking for. Funny I'm wanting to move my batteries up front to get the weight out of the stern, with a 30 gallon fuel tank back there, the jump seats.
